Makkah Clock Tower

The tower was developed as a component of the King Abdulaziz Endowment Project and provides comfortable accommodations for devout Muslims that make the journey to the city every year during the Hajj period. It is conveniently located adjacent to the Grand Mosque, which can accommodate up to two million worshippers over the course of the event.

King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD)  

The King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD) is a new development under construction near King Fahad Road in the Al Aqeeq area of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia being undertaken by the Riyadh Investment Corporation on behalf of the Pension Authority of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The project consists of 59 towers in an area of 1.6 million square meters. It will provide more than 3 million square meters of space for various uses, 62,000 parking spaces and accommodation for 12,000 residents. Upon completion, KAFD is expected to host round 50,000 residents.

Shamiya-Haram Extension

The mosque underwent a fourth extension project. King Abdullah Ibn Abdulaziz planned to increase the mosque’s capacity to 2 million. The expansion will include the addition of a new seven story building with 74 prayer halls, an ornate prayer hall spread over 250,000 square meters and a 5000-square meter of central ceremonial area.

Haramain High Speed Railway (HHR)

The Haramain high-speed railway (Haramain referring to Mecca and Medina, the two Islamic holy cities linked by it), also known as the Western railway or Mecca–Medina high-speed railway, is a 453-kilometre-long (281 mi) high-speed rail line in Saudi Arabia. The railway is expected to carry 60 million passengers a year, including around 3-4 million Hajj and Umrah pilgrims, helping to relieve traffic congestion on the roads.

The project involves the construction of a 45 km double track line from Al-Madinah Al Munawwarah Road to Rahman Al Awal Road.  The track is mostly superlevated with 4 km of underground line. There are a total of 22 stations and two train maintenance depots, West and East Depots and a multi-level parking facilities for users: 5 – 114,000 m2.
